I share this because activism is needed in the modeling industry regarding sexual assault (as well as, more of society), too. There is without a doubt a need for safety and accountability of models from those offenders. While agencies are a form of accountability that want to look out for their models' safety, there can be unreported assaults due to intimidation, shame, or even self-blaming. Models that are not represented by an agency and work alone at finding "clients" can be even less accountable.
"Sexual Assault" is a broad term that varies from state to state. "Sexual assault takes many forms including attacks such as rape or attempted rape, as well as any unwanted sexual contact or threats. Usually a sexual assault occurs when someone touches any part of another person's body in a sexual way, even through clothes, without that person's consent...and it's not always a stranger"
The modeling industry could benefit by having a universal way to better protect it's young, aesthetic laborers from being victims, as well as an industry Hotline for support.
