I know a few models here at A.K.A. Models are from Russia. This link is a documentary regarding the Russian Modeling industry (including beauty pageants). It does highlight the abundance of model-esque girls from Russia that make scouting for fashion models a hot spot. To balance their aspiring careers though, they could use more international support to keep them educated to some of the "ways" of the profession.
All models should be covered by the same international standards that can be overseen as human protective rights and labor laws. I foresee an International Organization forming that can be a database for all models (and anyone that works with them) as a way to stay accountable, educated, and together having access to health care and other advocacy benefits.
